2011 Thunder In The Valley Airshow Photos by Aviationbuff Photography
Photos of the 2011 Thunder in the Valley airshow. Columbus, GA, USA. March 2011. Performers included Skip Stewart, Patty Wagstaff, Mark Sorenson, Fowler "Big Dog" Cary and many more. This show is always a challenge to photograph due to the position of the sun which results in backlighting all day long. As a result, I tend to hold off shooting until the aircraft is making a low pass to improve the angle of the sun a bit. That said, this venue always features exciting flying from some of the best airshow performers.
